I wouldn't say that I was a fan of Anna Bligh but in the same means I wasn't a hater. I guess I never really had an opinion of her. That was until now. My whole perception of her has changed.
Now I see her as, a good strong leader, a compassionate caring person, a hero.

I have friends in QLD who have said the same - that they were never a fan of her, but didn't really hate her either. Everyone I've spoken to has said that even if she's been lacking in the past, the fact that she's really stepped up in this crisis shows what she's made of and what she is capable of. Hopefully she continues it into the future and leads QLD to a swift recovery after this horrible tragedy.
I completely Agree Mel. She really has stepped up and is leading us through this crisis. No once has she rambled political nonsense. She is being a true leader and doing what she needs to do.
However, Tony Abbott (opp leader) is doing the rounds, visiting people doing the full political spiel... just sickening really. It's not what people want to hear at a time like this.
